Thanks for the replies, I mis-spoke. The modem should definitely be doing the PPOE.
Selected that option and added username and password. In addition my Sonicwall is set to DHCP on WAN interface. This is driving me nuts, it has to be something simple I'm overlooking. |

| Over the last year I've had three occasions were internet requests and 192.168.0.1 will get no response, turning the modem off then on resolves this.
The modem's DHCP server can be unreliable, I would avoid using it.
Start troubleshooting with a direct connection to the modem and work your way deeper into your Lan. -- God bless our troops |

| Update for those interested. I'm finally able to access the modem config through my sonicwall.
