 Need local phone # for Tech support in U.S

I need 'live' help with getting my Anti virus working on my system. Is there a local Tech Support # for SBC/Ameritech?

I'll move this post to the Ameritech forum. Most likely the members there will help you to solve your problem yourself, and if that's not possible you'll be able to get the contact information you seek.

Sorry meant CA. What do you need help with exactly. Some of the forum members use that and could probably help.

EZ Atnivirus is the name of the Computer Associates product.

I don't know that SBC provides phone support on that product. But if you take the time to write a couple of cohesive paragraphs, we should be able to help you here.

  I tried earlier sending a 'cohesive' reply...system wouldn't allow it...I was posting in the wrong place. My EZ Antivirus will not update...I have contacted SBC TechSupp @ 1-877-SBC-DSL5,they're saying SBC doesn't support EZ Antivirus, I should contact CA. OK, I contacted CA online, CA says that I should contact my ISP for support but I could deleate EZ Antivirus and then clean any other antivirus software from my computer then reinstall EZ Antivirus. This all makes sense but I don't know how to do it or rather I don't know exactly what to remove. Iam trying to get Support that I can talk to or talk me thru it(I know SBC has this support but the numbers aren't published). Even if it's paid support, I don't mind. This Antivirus problem will not allow me to download secure sites (»https://}

First, download the EZ-Virus Installer at »consumerdownloads.ca.com/myeTrus···irus.exe

Make sure you have your EZ-Anti-virus serial number handy.

Then, go to the Start Menu and select Control Panels.

Select Add/Remove Programs.

Double click on EZ Anti-virus.

Wait for it to remove.

If your system need to restart, let it.

Double click on the EZ Anti-virus Installer.

Enter your serial number.

Voila.

A check mark in the box that reads "Do not save encrypted pages to disk" prevented dowloads from https: sites for me.
