And right now you will see this..

But i did not check to see if it is the same server host or even if they have physically changed to another host.

************************

Hey, it worked !
The SSL/TLS-aware Apache webserver was
successfully installed on this website.
If you can see this page, then the people who own this website have just installed the Apache Web server software and the Apache Interface to OpenSSL (mod_ssl) successfully. They now have to add content to this directory and replace this placeholder page, or else point the server at their real content.

ATTENTION!
If you are seeing this page instead of the site you expected, please contact the administrator of the site involved. (Try sending mail to .) Although this site is running the Apache software it almost certainly has no other connection to the Apache Group, so please do not send mail about this site or its contents to the Apache authors. If you do, your message will be ignored.
The Apache online documentation has been included with this distribution.
Especially also read the mod_ssl User Manual carefully.

Your are allowed to use the images below on your SSL-aware Apache Web server.
Thanks for using Apache, mod_ssl and OpenSSL!

This is very strange indeed! An explanation in plain English from Lavasoft would be very much appreciated.

What I find most inexcusable is Lavasoft's not telling the volunteers who have manned their forums what their plans are. They deserve some answers for all of the hard work they've put in and continue to on other forums.

The question is: who is this "someone"? Is it Lavasoft? Is it another company? Who knows.

...so you need some patience.:)
Yes, you're right, Name Game.

I would like to think they might be changing even the forum software type..maybe to make it less vulnerable..or even the server type and it's software.. and that surely took some time to do and put in place..but all guesses on my part guys since I never took a real close look at it all during the prior operation.

But i know that to be a good host and can handle much traffic.

Well, at least the forums were back for a couple of minutes. This is what I'm getting now:

The Lavasoft support forums are off line temporarily due to a software upgrade. We apologize... and so on and so forth.:(

They use IPB. That apache message would be an indication to me that the upgrade was completed. Since Fryertuck has been busy with the Research Portal, I doubt he has had time for rebuilding the support site mentioned by Mike in his post. I think Fryertuck is the only one working on the web design these days.

thank you for bringing forth this information Corrine/Name Game/Buddel.Hopefully this is a precursor to a return of the public support forum's at lavasoft.

Its seems odd to withdrawl the original support forum when the new and improved forum was unavailable.Lavasoft shoot themselve's in the foot again by bad planning and subsequent bad PR again.business as usual by LS!

The list of ASAP member sites at SpyWare BeWare who are providing assistance for users of Ad-Aware has been updated to include the addition of an Ad-Aware help forum by Geeks to Go at Lavasoft Support Forum

Felt this worthy of a bump.

Its now been at least 2 weeks since we fist learned of the forums being down. Any word of their imminent return?

And, do we rehash what this says about Lavasoft (again)?
