Bullshit. He said he "used them" referring to his own company. That's a lie. Let the little punk burn. I hate liars trying to scam everyone. No sympathy here...

Surpass is awful.... I was with them for awhile on a reseller account, and finally bailed after way to many issues and slow technical support. It might be good to point out that its best to pick a host that has a phone # and 24 hr support.

From »www.oxygenhosting.com/about.html

In the month of May 2004 our data center was home to over 20,000 Linux & Windows servers making it the world's largest dedicated web hosting data center provider.

Geeze, too bad I cant purchase a Linux hosting account youd think with 20 thousand servers you could have a free server for me to use.. LOL

20 thousand.. roflmao

This is comical .. I think some people should be comedians youd think having 20thousand servers youd own atleast 1 ip address that reversed backto oxygenhosting

I think they just copied/pasted that from some other page. It's a popular thing these days.

... and not entirely unfair. A LOT of hosting operations (including the one I help run) are found in larger data centers, and there is nothing wrong with that. The fact that it's in one of these larger facilities does suggest a level of added safety (more likely to have good backup power, good physical security, good connectivity, etc.).

I'd be nervous about a guy with a "hosting company" built with a handful of servers in his office (or his house!).

Yes, with doing a little research it was copy/pasted from his host ev1servers.net .. now that company appears to be very LARGE in deed.. I wonder which one of 5,000 white rental machines there belongs to oxygenhosting

None.
OxygenHosting appears to be running off of a reseller account and not their own server.

»www.globat.com lots of space and bandwidth, good for the price. They are offering a free year of hosting right now, including a domain. Can't go wrong there. I've used them for almost 3 years and havn't had a complaint other than slugish MYSQL servers for things like post-nuke.

I could be wrong but I thought that the point of this forum was to discuss web hosts? If so then picking hosts apart to differentiate between which are the good ones and which are the liars or less than good ones is important. My understanding of this forum is that it is not a free ride for any host to advertise his services but rather for people that have had experience with certain hosts to share their experiences so that others could benefit from the knowledge and make an informed decision about where to go for hosting services.

I don't know about everyone else but I depended on that information that I got here from these guys when I made my choice and it was immensely helpful. I depend on this forum in particular and DSLR n general to keep sellers honest and to help narrow my choices when I choose stuff.
