Re: Need small hosting solution

I completely agree with that. These forums have saved me from doing business with liars and cheaters on more than one occasion. We should value the people who take time out of their day to keep posters in here honest. This is what makes DSLR great...people who actually care about the integrity of it instead of letting it turn into a spamfest like a lot of forums are. I'll go ahead and say thanks to them right now.

Thanks!

Heh. Isn't it funny when they allow you to have easy clues? Such as "John Smith" (hosting owner) would be "jsmith" or "johnsmith".

I own Rebel Networks
»www.rebelnetworks.com

you can get a very good hosting package starting from $5.95/month (250mb, 7GB transfer, 50 email addresses)

With 1 static IP.

Looks like bryanviper See Profile has more stuff up. His "Maximum Repair" company is a cjb.net frame. He has more than just this awesomehorrible hosting/computer business.

I love these Deer-caugh-in-headlights threads

Now for 10Mb, I'd consider the free space that my ISP gave me and forward to that. It might be masked URL forwarding and that might not be perfect but you might get some joy from your ISP if you ask.

Failing that, maybe host at home for the experience (if you can, TOS, tech capabilites, etc).

I still say www.1and1.com is among the top with their:

2GB space
25GB transfer
200 email
Cpanel
MySQL
Dev Apps

All for $5/mo. Seems to best a lot of whats being posted and my site has had no downtime in 13K+ hits and like 30K+ page views.

Do you honestly think those are good stats to rate up time for a host??

That's just my experience. Others have posted sites with only 250MB of space for > $10/mo when 1and1 gives 2GB for only $5/mo and 5GB for like $10. I'm also not the first in this thread to mention them. Plus a free domain too.

Oh and it was 50K+ page views.

(And no, I have no financial ties to them other than being a customer.)

Looks like ICANN's going to get a report in today. I ask that everyone else submit a report as well at »wdprs.internic.net.

His new WHOIS info is:

Billing Contact:
OxygenHosting
Oxygen Hosting (Admin@OxygenHosting.com)
Oxygen
Toronto
null,m6s4c
CA
Tel. +416.8795108

Obviously, "Oxygen" is not a street, unless he created a new street in Toronto which I highly doubt.

What are you? The new webhosting sheriff? I like it when Removed and Big Greg and some others nab the liars, but you jump in on this like you're the world authority on running a trace or looking up a domain. I don't mean to be rude but it's pretty annoying.

Well you are rude, and at least he's contributing.

I've contributed as well and I'm sorry if you think i'm rude but it's my opinion. Every thread now seems to have his "contribution" in it and it's getting to be a bit much.

I agree. I think some of these comments are just beating horses that have been slaughtered (usually by myself; quite well, I should add) long ago.

Being rude is not my intention. I was simply pointing out that he has invalid WHOIS information now, and that it should be reported.

I admire his resourcefulness in order to spin a web of lie and deceit.

Note I only used the singular lie - after all, he only lied once. Reusing that lie doesn't count.
