Re: TV Guide Data Could also be a billing system issue. They may have your box coded for the wrong head-end or something else.
Actually, Comcast has very little to do with the data itself.. the onscreen guide is provided by a vendor.
And, I STILL believe that the onscreen guied is pretty good especially when the other day the pope died, and within 12 hours of this, the funeral was included in all the guide data for all channels carrying it.
I agree with comcast guy in the sence that there are far worse things to have go wrong - I personally think that too many people expect way too much perfection out of life that is to be expected. Thus, my posting name of keeping it real. |

Thus, my posting name of keeping it real. OK, it isn't clear from my first post but my issue about the wrong channel lineup is with the TV Guide website, NOT the I-guide.
My issue with the I-guide is the wrong description for a movie with the same name. "Jack" with Robin Williams vs. "Jack" with Anton Yelchin. "By Dawn's Early Light" with Powers Booth vs. "By Dawn's Early Light" with Richard Crenna. This was the reason I was checking the website to begin with. This kind of a thing wasn't a problem for me before I got a DVR. Now, the descriptions matter to me if I record something.
I also understand the argument about them having many lineups and regions and whatnot but the point is TitanTV gets it right and they are under the same circumstances. TV Guide, which is Comcast's provider does not. If you ask me, it's just plain sloppiness on TV Guide's part.
I would accept an error now and again but this problem is an ongoing one.
All I said before was that I found a problem, I let TV Guide know about it and that is it. |
