[NextAlarm] Keep ADT alarm hardware or rip-out

I currently have an ADT alarm system and my contract is about to expire. I want to switch to NextAlarm over [Sunrocket] and was wondering will it be compatible with my ADT system or do I need to switch all the hardware out? There is a broadband adapter

But it doesn't tell me what systems it works with.

Thanks.

What model panel do you have?

I kept my ADT system and NetAlarm helped me to program it for their service. You do not need to change your system.

Me, too....NextAlarm is great. I actually found out that my ADT panel had gone bad from a storm (I apparently had been paying ADT for nothing for some time) but Next Alarm helped me find a replacement for only $30 and guided me through the install.

You have to buy the Digium for $120 and I needed to buy a wireless bridge to get my panel on my home network but at $9/month vs. $34 it pays for itself in a few months.

The online portal is great, too.

Do you own your panel or were you leasing it from ADT? If you were leasing it you will need to get a new panel as ADT locks the panel to prevent you from going with another provider. There is no way around the lock aside from ripping out the chips on the board in which case it is easier just to replace the entire main board itself.

If you own the panel they should provide you with the lockout code. You will need this to program your panel with another monitoring service.
