| [FireFox] Updating Extensions and Themes
The FF auto updater is telling me that a couple of my themes and Forecast Fox need updating. Is it better to uninstall the old versions first and then install the new ones? I ask because using the auto updating when going from FF1.02 to 1.03 left the old FF1.02 registry entries in the registry. I don't want the old registry extension and themes entries left behind. -- "It's a nice day if you wake up in Disneyland" |

| Yes, it is recommended to uninstall old extensions and themes first. There are others who would say that you do not have to, but I like to go with Mozilla's recommendations myself.
Even moving to new builds once you get the hang of it for best results do a clean install of FF w/ New Profile. Of course you would want to clean the registry before installing a new build.

| reply to NYR11 Yes, technically it's best practice to do so, but 99% of the time, you probably won't run into any trouble by just installing over the old one. -- I have a signature. | I also have a website/blog. |
