It's the same old BS -- No Price Savings! My post was in jest. I sarcastically meant that you would end up paying MORE for a naked line then if you just has basic service. In theory, naked DSL will come with little or no surcharge. Covad et al already do this for an additional $5 per month which likely pays for the copper infrastructure between you and the CO. Your $12/month basic phone service is NOT naked DSL. It's just was the minimum you could get away with.
