| I don't think there is a problem using panel antenas or even grids on the distribution points, if there is no need for a broad area to cover.
I my POP I have an ap with a 16db sector, another one with an 15db omni, and a 14 db panel antena for a ptp link to another pop.
Wherever i install CPEs on the side facing the panel, i recieve stronger signal from the panel then the other two antenas. Also the panel antena has a lot weaker radio 18db, comparing to sector and omni with 23dbm radios.
Even that the 14 db panel is rated at 30* beamwidht, it covers more. |
