 Online Database

I am looking for a database solution that I can put on my web server (something expensive, or better, free!), and I'd be exporting a file from my databases and this solution will use that information for searches etc. Can anyone recommend something useful?

Must haves:
Simple for me to set up and adjust (i have some perl and c++ experience, no PHP or SQL experience).
Multiple databases
Database file is in plain text and a format that I can easily export my database information into.
Fun!

I used to use biz-db way back in the day, but it wasn't written to well and usually banned from the servers I placed it on to because of the intense load it would create.

Thanks.

I agree - and you'd also have to really search for a host that didn't already have these packages installed...

Usually now even the cheapest hosts have that installed because they are popular since they are easy to perform a given function.
