Ok my number is now transferred! Requested 4/12, complete 5/7, one day without working number. I just sent an email to have old household removed b/c I don't need 3 numbers! |

| Congrats to you as well! I think SR messed up or they would have enabled the number as soon as it was released from your previous provider. By the way, I've emailed and phoned, and I still have that original household number as an unwanted signature number. It has been over a month since my number was ported. |

| reply to jeffnyc Ditto here for my porting experience. My POTS line went dead yesterday. Called CS to open ticket with provisioning. Received email from SR this morning that port was complete. Rebooted Gizmo and the main number is now successfully ported. Three weeks to complete port. Not bad. |

| reply to themack I have discovered a new issue since port. My original signature line does not have voicemail. If I dial it, the account is there and I can leave a msg but I have no way to retrieve it. When I call in, it states only 2 accounts, my ported and previous household number. The account is displayed on the portal however the message I left myself is not indicated. It appears they are trying to automatically kill this number. I wanted the other number killed. Time for a support call... |

| Nope, no $3 charge. But that's the unwanted number that has received several telemarketer calls per day. So I told it to forward to voicemail, and then deleted the mailbox. Seems to work.
Regarding your voicemail confusion, you might try deleting your voice mailbox and re-enabling the ones you want again. |

| reply to themack I just deleted and renabled voice mailboxes per your suggestion. However, when I click on "Messages" for my signature acct I get this error "That page or resource could not be found on our site." I do not get the error when clicking on the other 2. I has CS open a ticket. |

1 edit | reply to themack I made a LNP request thru SunRocket on Sat the 16th of April and got an email on Monday, the 18th confirming the request.
Last week at least as early as last Friday, the number I was attempting to LNP got switched a very strange intercept message that says the number is no longer in service. It does not NOT sound like a SBC intercept message.
I called SR on Saturday and got a nonsense answer. Still getting intercept msg this am, called 611 and was told the LNP dept cannot be called directly but was promised a "call back". After 4 hours with no callback, I called 611 again. This time I was told they LNP put note in my record that SBC transferred "too early" and its "not our fault". I asked to escalate the problem and was told that there was nothing more that they can do, that LNP is a seperate department at "corporate" and they can't contact them directly. I again asked to "escalte" but they have no procedure to do so with LNP and CANNOT/WILLNOT even talk to the LNP dept.
I called SBC and found that they transferred the # on May 3rd. Called SR back with that info and identified the suppport ticket# and could NOT get transferred to a supervisor, the previous supervisor "had left" and I asked three times to speak with a supervisor and the CSR would not do so, kept insisting that I explain it all over again to him. This is just too much.
LNP at SR is unacceptable. I do not recomment it. They do not take reponsibility for anything and your # is totally at risk. Caveat emptor.
Despite all the great "support" reports here, I give SR support an "F" today.
[very frustrated], - Don

| reply to Phoenix2088 said by Phoenix2088 :If you only have one number with Verizon and you ported it, the account will automatically be cancelled. Re-connect to the telco wiring and see if you still have dial tone, if not your good to go. If you still do, give it a few days after the port and check again. Our SBC POTS line was still active for about 24 hours after the port to Vonage. I would double check. My cable company (they were still called MediaOne back then) has offered digital phone service over cable lines for 5 or 6 years and when I switched to that service my Bellsouth lines could still dial out. Turns out service was never canceled, even though it shoud have been. -- »www.joako.com |
