I agree....it's OBVIOUS that you need to set up the 911 calling manually.

This is a case of stupid people not wanting to be held accountable for their own stupid actions.

Kind of like the guy that sued Winnebago many years ago because he set the cruise control on his RV and got up and went to the back to make coffee while he was driving on the interstate and ended up crashing and getting hurt.

Sad thing is...he WON because his Loser..Oh I mean Lawyer argued the fact that in the users manual of the RV it did NOT state he couldn't leave the controls while cruise control was on.

He was awarded something in the range of $1.7 million

Why should they. I am sure their phone bills are paid for by the residents of the land.

I was using alliteration with my example of the frivilous lawsuits that plague this county...

I should have used the old lady spilling McDonalds coffee on herself and winning almost a million dollars because of it.

My point was....people don't want to take accountability for their actions....

Alliteration, eh? Brilliant.

Litigious lawyers luck out with wandering Winnebago!

Couldn't prove that by the city of Detroit. The state has/is fixing all the major highways. Out in the 'bubs they've had it easy for a long time, now they're the ones not spending money to repave and people are moving back to the city and buying condos, etc. I guess suburbia is no longer the nirvana that everyone thought it was now that you're packed like sardines, have unending ordinances telling you what you can and cant do with your property, etc and taxes up the wazoo for everything.

What this goes to show you is that the Government of MI is not hurting for money...At least, not yet. What? you are surprised? They still have all those taxes they rip you for flowing in from all over the state. To give them credit, at least the state police haven't resorted to pimping for traffic ticket dollars like OH does.

While many may not agree with the Michigan AG's logic, his interpretation is that setting up 911 as a speed dial number to a Public Service Answering Point is a potentially misleading depiction of "911".

Short of calling 911 from a Vonage phone, is there any means to find out where exactly a 911 call from my Vonage phone is routed?

Gotta make it pretty for the MLB All Star Game this summer and Super Bowl XL in February...

While I agree with you, alliteration ain't an acceptable application of applying your argument.

No government anywhere is hurting for money. They just spend too much of it on the wrong things and then are are surprised when there isn't enough money to spend on things that are important.
