I'm with that guy. Even if a website is bogged down, you can always view the cached version from yahoo and google search engines.

This has to tie in with their advertising program somehow.

I'm sure this allows them to aggregate information somehow and mine that to create algorithms to better serve ads.

How many people look for cached pages just because the real one is loading slowly? This web accelerator thing will end up being useful to people for lots of reasons.

Obviously, the benefit for Google is data mining and determining more popular destinations on the web. Still, it is a service for some that has slow connections.
