I've been nominated to pick the topic for week six.

The instructions: Post a photo that follows the spirit of the following quote. It can relate in a figurative or literal way - doesn't matter. Please try to refrain from arguing over how a given image relates to the quote. Political images are strongly discouraged!

Link to Week six:

The Quote: "Do not count your chickens before they are hatched."
Aesop, The Milkmaid and Her Pail
Greek slave & fable author (620 BC - 560 BC)

I have chosen a very well known quote. Let's see how creative you can all be in determining what Aesop says to you.

Hey, people... I thought I made this fairly easy so that we might have a few more responses. Is this an indication, with only one, that you all don't want this type of thread any more? Or, is there something else that needs to be noted?

I see I was writing as several of you were posting. Thank you. I feel a little better about my quote and perhaps the entire weekly thread.

This was last weekend.
Today they had all been destroyed by the rain and winds.

Don't give up counting on your chicks either. Here the Green Bay Packers at this moment have just learned that the hapless chicks, the 2003 ARIZONA CARDINALS, have just defeated the powerhouse Minnesota Vikings as Green Bay has also just as surprisedly beaten the Denver Broncos to win the NFL North Division Championship for 2003. Not hardly a chance but it happened! Oh my gawd, never say die!

HAHA funny, Those trailers (Horse House) are great as long as you can unload the horses. 4-8 horses stomping around and farting all night makes for a long night..:)

I have absolutely no idea what this might be. I have yet to find one actually blooming, but I've found the plants (with buds) all over the place. Hopefully I will catch one in bloom soon. =o)

This guy's now pushing up the daisies... lost a fight with a dog, I think, while protecting chicks after they hatched... those 2" talons are very deadly but not much use against larger dogs.

New folks in the left house bought it with a vacant lot next door. Peace and serenity?...Nope, next week someone bought the empty lot and built next to them. New air conditioner is sitting next to neighbors new screened-in porch. Should have bought the empty lot as well.
