Re: Pay-Pup and Netbux Scams

What makes me curious is what's the point of this "scam"? Clearly cheating the advertisers isn't working, and a few thousand from the people buying referrals is pocket change, why? Was this just a failed attempted to create a semi-legit business (like 180solutions)? Did they really think the advertisers wouldn't catch on to their scheme? Or was it all a scam for the referral money? If it was a scam from Day 1, didn't they realize that there's a paper trail a mile long and it would be nearly trivial for anyone who knows the slightest thing about law to track them down?

It might not be a bad idea to add a section to your site on how to track down these people and sue them when the the victims of this scam realize they are not going to get paid.

If this is a scam, is sounds like one of the most braindead scams ever. Mugging infants for candy would likely be more profitable, simpler and safer than this.
