| reply to montano Re: Up-to-date list of providers that have BYOD ?
As the threads originally topic has went off in a tangent to another topic area, I feel it's best to lock this one up to save future confusion amongst users reading through this for the first time.
In future it is best to start another topic if a different subject matter is to be discussed.

| reply to jjoshua I still have not received my DID from them either. It has been a few days now.
Anyone have a Sipura 3000? I configured them on the PSTN line port. How do I make calls using Telesip using the PSTN line with Broadvoice being on my Line 1?
I can't figure it out. Thank you. |

You might want to email Telasip with any questions. They (Gene) responded to my inquiry very promptly, in less than two hours.
BTW, I was told that they do support LNP, and that the long distance rate with their basic and plus plans is 4 cents a minute. Since their unlimited premium plan is so cheap, I hardly see the point of not selecting it, except for niche purposes. It would be nice to see international rates posted on their site, but judging by their domestic rates they probably are no bargain.
I hope everybody who has signed up with them will give us regular updates as to the quality of service and support. |

| reply to montano According to their rather cryptic website, they offer name and number with incoming caller ID. In reality, does Telasip provide Caller ID with NAME?
Im always in constant pursuit of the elusive Caller ID with Name....

Thanks!

| reply to montano I also did a factory reset after VoicePulse took over my SPA 2000!! I have my SPA 2000 set with mostly default settings. My linksys WRT54GS has QoS turned on, and I have had no complaints of not being heard. I have G711 on both lines of my SPA 2000 also. |

| reply to montano I finally decided to give them a shot. I got through to someone Gene and spoke with him. They were focused more with business customers and just recently started working with residential customers. Their fee is $14.95 with no tax or regulatory fees as of now. A virtual number costs $1.95.
They emailed me my configs within the hour I believe.
I had no problem setting it up with my Sipura 3000 and was registered in no time and making calls. The only problem I am having is when I called someone they are telling me that I sound like a robot to them and the sound is not too clear to them. I can hear them just fine.
Did you all set it up in the Sipura any different? I had it set up where I did a factory reset and just plugged in their values. Broadvoice sounds better to my friends than this right now.
Could it be something with the codec used? I used g711u with both broadvoice and telasip.
I'd appreciate the help.
Thanks |

| reply to montano Agreed. The only reason I even tried them was it was only $15 and they take paypal I did call and talk to them, and I feel comfortable enough messing with my SPA 2000 that I wasn't concerned with details. I still say they have the worst website I have ever visited ! |

| reply to montano said by montano :For $15/month unlimited to US, I'm really hoping Telasip continues to work well. Looks like an interesting company. I do wish their site had more detailed information: features (with details on how they function), LNP, LD rates (their "rates" page is blank!), their definition of "local calling," etc. Plus, they have a lot of nerve charging $115 for an SPA-2000!
Still, I love to see more companies coming onto the scene with BYOD. I also get the impression that you're allowed to use multiple devices on the same line, which is great. The $15 could be an awesome value, but their offerings are a little vague at this point. Keep us posted! |

| reply to montano Today is my second day with Telasip. So far so good. But that is to be expected with G711
I thought MyPhoneCompany was a no frills outfit, but Telasip takes the cake ! However, I have had nothing but excellent call quality with both providers. MPC is going on 1 month with flawless service. Both providers use Level 3. For $15/month unlimited to US, I'm really hoping Telasip continues to work well. |

Is there a log in portal for this company? What happens when you need support, no one seems to pick up for anything. |

| reply to montano I signed up yesterday with Telasip. $15 paypal made me feel better than $15 on my CC. I signed up only after I called and spoke with someone. He was very helpful and looked up my area code. They use Level 3, so they should have good coverage across the US.
The unique thing, as mentioned before, is ALL of their plans are BYOD. And for $15/month for the Unlimited, it was worth a shot. I mean I gave MyPhoneCompany a shot and they have turned out to be the best provider by far for me. But their BYOD plan is limited to 500 minutes.
I have yet to receive my sip credentials, and probably won't until Monday. Which is no big deal since I'm out of town for the weekend anyways. I will let everyone know how it works out, once I get them up and running. |

| reply to montano said by montano :jjoshua, I tried to sign up, but it kept adding a $10 charge to the $14.95 monthly price. I don't know what the charge is for? I also don't see where to find available area codes? I have no idea what the $10.00 is for. Talk to one of their sales reps listed on the 'contacts' page. I wasn't charged any more than the listed $14.95.
I had to email them to find out their available ACs because their web site is so unprofessional. They need a real web site designer. But when they emailed me back the list of available ACs and exchanges, I was floored. There were more available than *any* of the other providers for my area (MN). I still haven't received my DID even though it's been over a week. Fortunately, what I mainly want it for is outbound which works terrific. |
