"Bounce back unwanted email to the spammer so it looks as if your email address is not valid."
The problem is the "bounce" is a new message, sent from the operator's computer, impersonating the operator's MAILER-DAEMON agent, using the forged email address in the Return-Path: as the recipient. That will give the recipient of the Mail Washer Fake Bounce all the information necessary to file an abuse complaint with the operator's ISP.
I do file abuse complaints about MW Fake Bounces. -- Norman ~A deam, dream, no dream ~Voices of the night go across the forest ~A dream, dream, no dream ~Good night my good child |

Often, yet not always, the return address does not have any connection to the true sender. This is an old spammer trick. Misuse of bounce feature does not help. Nontheless bouncing has legitimate use in a few cases. -- Oh, I love the smell of fish. Guts, rotten, it's all good. |

I am guessing that somebody didn't clean up the quote tags properly. The attribute should have been to me. Complaining about abuse is like taking out the trash; somebody has to do it.
The bounce feature is still shown in their FAQ. Once they lose that abusive abomination, they will become a proper spam fighting tool. -- Norman ~A deam, dream, no dream ~Voices of the night go across the forest ~A dream, dream, no dream ~Good night my good child |
