| Nice article. I remember last year seeing High School seniors protesting because they didn't graduate. They didn't graduate because they failed to pass the FCAT (Florida Comprehensive Achievement Test). Several of the protesters carried signs with inaccurate spelling and incorrect word usage. The silliest one had used the phrase "Gov Busch" instead of "Gov Bush".
Education in this state is a joke. More and more money seems to go to administration as opposed to student instruction and it shows. | |

A lot of kids will be having rather bleak futures because so many people think throwing more money into the government schools will solve all the problems. My real estate taxes have been going up by double digits for years; I live in Fairfax County, Va. More than half of our taxes go for government schools which are hiring administrators at a much faster rate than teachers. | |
