| [SunRocket] Static/distorted voices
Have had SR for a week and a half or so. While on the phone, both the other party and I experience intermittant static/distortion. I even upgraded to the newer Uniden cordless phone systems. I have FW 5.40. I called SR and they have trouble report started. Anyone else have a similar problem? |

| reply to Lpeeples I had similar problems when I first installed the gizmo. The voice quality from the SR cordless was muddy. I tried 2 different wired phones and found a constant buzzing, clicks and the voice quality seemed like I only got part of the voice spectrum. I tried the gizmo on both my clean Verizon and P8 connections and had the same quality problems. I thought my gizmo was bad. I had many other problems with VM, forwarding, web portal, incoming calls and calls cut off. SunRocket seemed to be having network problems that week and I finally sent an email asking to suspend my account until later in the month. I didn't get an answer but on Thursday my phone and gizmo were dead and I thought I had been disconnected. On Saturday I got an email bill and replied. Never got an answer. This Thursday I plugged in the gizmo, everything worked and the quality is great. I don't know what changed. The only difference on my end is the gizmo was without power for a few days. I'm just beginning to really test things and am concerned the problems could return as suddenly as they disappeared. PM me for details. |

| reply to Lpeeples If you sound quality suddenly detiorates and then come back during the same phone conversation in a lot of cases it's a result of shortage of bandwidth caused by something else on your network performing downloads/uploads on the same ISP line. Try to disconnect the rest of computer equipment in house from router and check if problem persists. -- »www.windowsvsunix.com |

| I had this problem all last week right after I bought my 108Mb/s super G Wireless card and set my router to channel 6 to support the 108Mb mode. My phone started to do weird things. right after I changed back to channel 11. no problem.
Solution...change channel or buy a 5.8Ghz phone! |
