Good job. I love using linux for my firewall router. A long time search shows a thread where some of the details are discussed along with a few other script versions.

I still think the best way is to study a few of these scripts and then customize them to fit your particular situation. I use shorewall so I don't need specific iptables commands. Others use just iptables so it's fitting to have the commands.
