I personally can't stand the woman's voice on Sunrocket's voicemail. I actually find it a little embarassing when people call. Anyone agree? |

| reply to jeffnyc I have had several business associates comment in their messages recently about that woman's voice... although they are mostly ribbing, it is embarrassing. One female associate said "The woman who tells you to record your message sounds like she works part-time at a 900-line."
And the worst part is, users have no control over it! I switched to a "full" greeting (rather than name-only) assuming callers would simply hear my message and the tone -- like on my Sprint PCS voicemail. But no, they hear my entire greeting, and then the woman's voice tells them to record their message and press the pound key.
After getting several comments about it, I called to listen to it myself. It is awful.
A SunRocket rep told me when I first signed up and called them about the poor audio quality on their voicemail, that because they were a new company, they'd outsourced or bought a voicemail service. He said, quoting, "We get a lot of calls about it. It's pretty crappy."
That was three months ago. It's still pretty crappy. And not only audio quality, but functionality. The whole SR voicemail system is VERY user-UNfriendly.
I love the convenience of the Message Screener, but between that embarassing voice and the 20-message limit, SunRocket's voicemail is a black mark on what is otherwise a great VOIP service.
Hope someone from SR will do something about that -- SOON. |

I recently tried Teliax and, if I recall correctly, they had the same lady as VoicePulse.
Does anyone know anything about this? |
