Can't connect to internet using Westell 327w

I'm using a wireless network connection on my laptop, which I can't connect to the internet. I'm using the westell 327w router. The wireless network connection says it's connected, but it still wanted let me connect to the internet. Can anyone help me?

Not much information to go on here but you need to try and isolate the problem. Is it the 327W connecting to the new or your connection to it from the laptop.

A couple of basic steps to narrow down the problem:
Can you ping the IP address of the 327 from the laptop? This will verify that you are in fact connected to the router. If you can't connect, you need to do that first.

Can you connect to the 'net from another machine attached to the 327W? If you can't then you need to solve that first.

try upgrading the firmware on your card, mine was from 03, and everytime i shut my laptop down, I could only reconnect after uninstalling and re-installing the card software. After the upgrade absolutely no problems.
