It still needs a lot of improvement. My main gripes are the fact that after adding an ad to block, you have to restart Opera, and also the fact that it doesn't integrate into Opera at all. It doesn't even let you minimize to the systray instead of constantly staying in the task bar. Another thing is, many of the ads it would block would only take the image away, while still leaving the text in a blank box. (Attached image of what it looks like after "filtering" the FireFux ad here on BBR) So for me it ended up being too much of a hassle. I would rather have the ads than put up with that thing

@Fyle,

I don't know if it's just my setup, but when I tried AdMuncher, my maximum upload speed was reduced by about 25%. Otherwise it was an outstanding program.

AdMuncher is very good as well. I'm waiting for their new release so I can try it out. AdMuncher 4.7 is supposed to bring substantial improvements to the program.

It would be nice if Opera came up with their own ad-blocking program.In the mean time OperaAdFilter works well and being on dialup,removing ads helps speed up loading up web pages.

I've known about this for a while, but stopped using it some time ago. Honestly, I don't even remember why exactly I stopped using it. I suppose it's that I simply don't care enough about ads to be blocking them. Now that you've brought it up, however, I believe I will give it another shot . I think Opera secretely is working on an ad-blocking solution, and we will be hearing about it sooner or later

Just dl'd the newest Opera and was searching around to see if there is anything like adblock extension (in firefox) for Opera.Came across this gem and have been using it for several hours and I do like it.It's called OperaAdFilter and it works great.You can add your own add servers or get the ad server list from the program update-
