@on.ca | do you think VDSL2 customers will actually see the 100Mbps connections? i dont think so.. but if they did then that would be great, finally we can compete and exchange information with the far east at the same speeds. |

| reply to Anonymous101 This gives me even more anxiety over SBC's/BellSouth's low (relative) bandwidth nextgen ADSL2 deployment plans. ADSL might be the cheapest path to take, but will likely have a very short to non-existent competitive lifespan. Unlike FIOS, or even cable (apparently) which are scalable, giving them a longer return on investment.
I guess it won't really matter in the many areas where these incumbents have no real competition, but they are going to get slaughtered like a third stringer wherever they have forward thinking competition (FIOS, Cable, municipal fiber, etc).
