Charlie Brown

Has anybody viewed all 55 completed statues around Santa Rosa?

I'm just wondering because the one day I went, I couldn't find half of them... Are they inside stores and businesses, such as wineries?

I want to get a picture collection of them.

Which statues are you speaking of? My family will be attending a wedding in Santa Rosa in August. Would love to checkout some sites.

Not yet, we're going down to Santa Rosa Thursday for our montly Costco and shopping trip there (it's about 70 miles south of here, no Costco, Target, Besy Buy, PetCo, CompuUSA in Ukiah ), I'll take some pics of any I see. I love Charlie Brown, it's my favorite cartoon! It's simple, but so funny and good, and he was never afraid to mention God or religion, something that is so rare to find now days, anymore, you as much as say heaven and you get sued. Charles Schultz is one man this world sorely misses! I still haven't made it to the museum yet, that's one thing I want to do in the next few months. I have all the specials on DVD, and several collections of his Charlie Brown Comics.

I WANT LUCY!!

Wednesday, June 1, 2005, 15:59 hrs. pdt.

When I was a kid, I used to try to analogize myself to "Linus". But my older sister wouldn't have any of it, because if I were Linus, then she was Lucy, the "crabby" one. (Well, she was crabbY!)

I loved those strips. They are my all-time favorites. Some of the "Dark Side" strips by Larsen made me laugh harder, but the Peanut Strips last longer and more comfortably humorous in memory. Remember the one where Linus is the outfielder in a baseball game and a high line-drive is hit? He collects scraps of wood from the out field and constructs a stepladder up which he runs and catches the ball. Lucy walks over to the ladder, spies a bent nail, and comments, "Lousy carpentry".

Charles Schultz was a terrible student, from what I read. He failed everything. But he was a happy and generous guy who made everyone's burden a little lighter. Did you know that he built an ice skating rink for Santa Rosa with his own money? What a guy!

Can you believe it? Somebody kidnapped
Charlie Brown!

"Someone has absconded with Charlie Brown.

The victim is described as round-headed, seemingly bald, weighing about 300 pounds, and wearing a chef's hat."

Unbelievable! You'd have to have a truck, or huge
van. I'm surprised no one saw anything.

Effing amazing.

It's a pity that many are getting vandalized and or stolen.

I did get the picture of that one on Thursday.

That's pretty sad, I guess some people have nothing better to do than ruin the enjoyment of these statues by others You just can't put things up without worrying about vandalism anymore I saw one when we went down Thursday of last week, in front of the Sonoma County Museum by the mall.

The restaurant owner will keep quiet. Nobody will know except him.

You can view 54/55 statues at my website. The 55'th one hasn't come in. It's being signed by the Giants.

I'm uploading them right now.
