I'm not sure about the trial version but the full version of NIS 2005 allows you to choose what gets installed, NIS NAV or both. |

| reply to antdude said by antdude :I believe NIS 2005 requires its NAV to be installed it does, but when installing fresh from the cd, i believe you can install either the whole suite, or just the NAV. but my issue is that with the whole suite pre-installed, i want to nuke everything except the NAV, and it's looking like i can't.
back to the search for a new AV . or just keep using SAV 8 and accept it's annoying tendency to not be able to scan about 50 files, not all in use (decompression problems, etc.) other that that problem, i've been fine with SAV, and we have 5 licenses and unexpiring updates (just not upgrades). and dealing with symantec tech support is...well...there are no words . -- graciella! I am pretty sure NIS 2005 doesn't let you not install its NAV. It has been awhile since I used it though. Easy check. Run Add/Remove Programs list and see if it lets you install/uninstall its NAV from NIS 2005. -- Ant @ The Ant Farm: »antfarm.ma.cx ... Please do not IM/e-mail me for technical support.
