Random outtages for 6 straight days

My usually rock solid Transedge/New Edge combo has been giving me fits lately. Since Tuesday, it has gone down for about an hour 6 straight days. Today, Sunday June 5th there were 3 1-hour outtages.

I've generated 2 support tickets so far but it keeps happening. Anyone KNOW anything. On my two tickets, they haven't got a clue. They say it may be some Level3 equipment.

Anyone else having this problem out of the Chicago hub? I'm in SW Ohio.

I had the same problem with NEN when i had their over priced cable modem service from Time Warner WOH. I dropped them and went direct to the supplier.

I FINALLY got an explanation. Seems it was a Nortel owned router that was shutting down at 8:15 EST for whatever reason. Transedge support told me they had the responsible techs on the phone and they would not hang up until it was fixed for good.

I'll know in 2 hours and 10 minutes!

Do you have a NEN Speedstream Router? It has wireless built into it as well?

Well, all is well and fast as ever! Must have been that router they replaced.

Yes, it's a speedstream router, but not wireless. It's about 3-4 years old now. It's a model 5851.

It's been a smooth ride for 3 years. Other that this spot outtage over 6 days, I can only think of one other time when service was down in the 3 years I've had NEN. That was when they had a MAJOR outtage and backup systems failed. Even then it was only for a short time.

Very satisfied customer AND they recently lowered my monthly fees.

I'm a partner as well... I haven't heard anything about lower prices either. I guess it's just Transedge customers.
