| [Line Problem] Storm Damage?
You've probably seen my suggestion about "flashing" the line. Well...
We were without power due to a storm with high winds that kept us without power for 17 hours. On restore, DSL is unstable. A listen to the phone shows a weak but obvious static (distant sounding noise) in the line. FLASH the phone for a while and bingo... silence... and my connection is ok... for awhile. So far it's been 1/2 hour.
No real question... misery loves company I guess. If I can't resolve it I may have to see if the SBC CSS that found me the awesome line last July is still around (she left her card). |

The call is in to fix the phone line. Amazing - the phone has become unusable but the tech from Covad set it down to 480/384 and it's pretty darn solid.
Interesting fact. The Covad tech tried to knock me down to 928k but it wasn't available from his access so he had to settle for 480k. |

| Contest - Guess the resyncs?
OK, kudos to the one closest to the NUMBER OF RESYNCS I had between Monday June 6 at 8:00PM and Wednesday June 8 at 3:00AM. This 31 hour span happens to be the longest continuous count my Westell ever achieved and I was amazed to see it.

It wasn't quite that bad and since I gave a hint, Fatness gets another guess. |
