Javier, Thank you for your work. I turned my dwl-800ap+ into a dwl-810, today and found this thread, while searching for a way to convert my new dwl-810 to a dwl-G810. I am unable to get the same checksum after conversion... where am I going wrong?
Using your checksum prog here is the info: Checksum for Dlinks original g810.bin: 3C 37 BC F1 Checksum for Dlinks original 810+.bin: 44 34 3D 73 Checksum for hacked g810.bin (last 2 hex lines like 810+): 36 29 BA 92 Here are images of the 2 files, the highlights show what will/got changed.
Thanks for any help you can offer |

| reply to tekjunky You cannot convert a "dwl-810" (I guess you mean a DWL-810+) into a DWL-G810, they are different hardware.
DWL-810+ TO DWL-800AP+ OK DWL-800AP+ TO DWL-810+ OK DWL-G800AP TO DWL-G810 OK DWL-G810 TO DWL-G800AP OK
Any other combination: WRONG!! ie:
DWL-810+ TO DWL-G810 NO!! |

| Thanks for the answer. I had heard that the Dlink dwl-800AP+/810+(802.11b) and the dwl-G800AP/G810(802.11g), series of AP/Repeaters and Bridges were the same hardware, just different firmware. The Firmware's file sizes are identical and only the last few hex address's are different on all 4 models. I appreciate your work on converting the G version of the 8XX series though, thanks. |
