| C&D backfires(Hotbar Vs Sunbelt CS)

Big respect to Sunbelt for backing up their stated software service to their customers and not capitulating under legal pressures like certain other software vendors! |

| I'm testing out Counterspy at the mo, but am surprised there has been no update this weekend yet. I installed it last week, and I understood Microsoft were supplying definitions to Sunbelt in addition to their own, but none have come through even tho MS have issued an update through to MS AntiSpyware/GIANT AntiSpyware users. |

| I have CS as well and noticed the same. However, they do not rush to update things as was happening in the past. They use the MS defs *plus* add in there own.
I believe the end result is far less FP's than was happening some months ago with CS. There are some topics on this over at castlecops (where there official forums are located).

Counterspy generally updates more frequently then it has this past week. That may be due to the Microsoft Tech Ed in Orlando this past week. »[Other] Microsoft Tech-Ed 2005 Report from Orlando -- God put me on this Earth to accomplish a certain number of things. I have heard of the false positives that were happening in the early days, and I guess they were teething troubles with the product being new. I know of a friend who tried the product last December, and got alerted to a shockwave .dll file as being "spyware". |

They are now beta testing definitions prior to release so that has cut down tremendously on fp's. -- God put me on this Earth to accomplish a certain number of things.
