I'm thinking of downgrading my line (1500/3000) and like to stay with DSLextreme but with the "new customers only" packages and SBC is doing the $14.95, it's tough. I like to support dslextreme too but $50 fee to downgrade and not much more...

$24.95 plan for downgrade.

Ok.. I looked at DSLXxtreme new plan for upgrading existing customers and it has $24.95 for 384-1500 plan with dynamic IP and eventhough it has $50 fee, the next page says "Free".

Currently I have 2 static IPs and pay around $58/month, if I choose to downgrade to the dynamic route, will there be downtime? Would I be sent a new modem since I've been using my own modem since I signed up more than 2 years ago.

Still $10/month more than SBC
