Keith,
Instruction is very long. Let us know if you have any problems.
This guide will assist you in setting up port forwarding and Bridge for
use
with VP-100 with ease of use. Please remember if you see "?", it
represents
a command or info and do not include " when you type.
1. Open Browser (IE/Netscape) and type "192.168.1.1" into the address
bar.
Press "Enter".
2. A dialog will appears requesting a User Name and Password. Enter
"admin"
for the User Name, and enter the modem password for the Passord. The
default
password is "1234". (Hint: If a customer install the SprintDSL instead
of
SprintDSL installer, it is possible the customer set their own admin
password. Please ask the customer for a password.
3. The Web-Configurator screen will be displayed. You will need to
access
the modem's advanced features. Click the "NAT" link under "Advanced
Setup".
4. The NAT-Mode window will appear. Make sure "SUA Only" is selected.
Click
the "Edit Details" link next to "SUA Only".
5. The "NAT-Edit SUA/NAT Server Set" page will display. This is where
you
can select the port you would like to forward.
6. You can put your computer into the "DMZ" (demilitarized zone), and
it
will turn off all of the NAT security features. To place a computer in
the
DMZ, type the IP address of the computer into the "IP Address" field on
line
1 (All ports). The only IP address that can be used is "192.168.1.2".
(Hint:
This IP address is assigned by SprintDSL which allow customer to have
only 1
IP address. Therefore, it has a built-in router and only allow 1
computer to
access to the internet.)
7. Remember, if the customer does not play game on the internet,
proceed
with instruction on Number 6 & 8. If the customer plays game on the
internet, You can specify one port, or a range of ports, to forward
traffic
from. To forward one port, type the port number into the "Start Port
Number"
field and also into the "End Port Number" field. Type the port number

The
only IP address that can be used is "192.168.1.2"

for
TCP ports, not UDP ports. If you are trying to forward UDP ports, the
modem

means of router brand will need to be established. Please proceed to
Number
