| It was quite stable for a while. NetPerSec always showed a solid, flat 2.9Mbps download rate. Then I had an ISP takeover and things started to go downhill after a month or two. There were several outages (with sync up) and I had difficulty establishing PPP sessions. Then I also had a local line problem develop when the heavy rains started. That's when I first noticed the sync rate had dropped since I was keeping an eye on the connection. My SNR dropped to 0-6dB but I still had a max ATM rate of around 6Mbps, even when hovering around a 5dB margin.
BellSouth fixed the line and the ISP seems to have gotten the bugs worked out. Now my line stats are back up and the ISP (was Netrox, now WebUnited) seems to have gotten the bugs worked out.
I'm thinking of moving over to BellSouth but in my tests I seem to be getting slightly better routing and DNS performance.
