| Current SBC DSL, will my speed improve
I currently have SBC DSL.
I pay 26.95 for 1.5/128.
In reality, I get 500/128.
If I purchased a 1.5/128 plan from LB, would I still suffer from poor speed?
Bottom line question: If I still have the same CO (13K feet), how could my speed improve from one ISP to the next? |

| Unfortunately, That question can not be answered honestly with the info you provided.
There are many factors that affect DSL.
I would suggest we start with a basic Pre-qual of your location. Feel free to PM me your service location info, and we can go from there.
Just because your speeds are slow with one ISP doesn't mean they will be with another. Now, if you can provide your Noise margins, that would also be helpful.

| reply to mikloyd It does appear you are serviced from an RT, which we do not have access to, so you would need to stick with SBC or an SBC reseller.
I would work with SBC tech support on your speed issue. The key is what your sync rate, and noise margins are.

| Thanks Brent.
Its a shame about being locked in to SBC here in the Telecom Corridor.
I appreciate your candor regarding this though, and even though I am not your customer, I appreciate the friendly service.
I will definitely look you up if we ever move or Richardson gets with the program.
