I just updated my WGT624 version 2 router to 4.2.6 from 4.2.4 (it only suggested 4.2.6--odd....), and now it's fried. The wireless light doesn't come on, and all wired connections have 'limited or no connectivity'. Attempts to repair the wired connections fail because of a failure to renew the IP address, which the router's supposed to assign, right?

What I really want to fix though is the wireless. The router manual states 'If the power, local, internet, or wireless LEDs do not come on, refer to the following appropriate section.' The wireless section does not exist. There's a power LED section, a local and internet port LED section, but NO WIRELESS SECTION. Way to go netgear for not only making shitty products, but shitty manuals as well.

If anybody has any ideas on how to remedy the situation, I'd love to hear 'em, but my guess is that the router is physically damaged or fubar'd...and that netgear simply blows.
