So at last some people are taking things seriously and realising just what a REAL threat things like this are, and actually trying to do something about it. Good for them !
And as has been mentioned before, it's gonna get a whole lot worse before it gets even a bit better.

Though the methods might be more formal now, lots of people have been taking things seriously for at least three years and probably more. It's possible that this wasn't considered newsworthy until more recently.

| I know our little circle has been taking it seriously for at least the four years I've been involved with them. However it's now at last getting to the mainstream press.
Once some of these botnets do some damage that the excitedly wide-eyed chatting heads in mainstream TV news can understand, we'll be hearing the terms "botnet", "IRC channel" and so on ad nauseum on nightly TV as glieder-style infiltrations become more effective and pervasive.

Could sinister BOTNETS in lower Slobbovia be emptying YOUR BANK acCOUNTS and sharing YOUR PERSONAL information on IRC CHANNELS????
