I need to recover data off my non booting drive and I was wondering what is the best software for the job?
Also which software offers a boot disk utility? |

| Easy Recovery Pro, if the data isn't corrupt and the drive just won't boot then slave it to a good drive and copy and paste your data.

another vote for Easy Recovery Pro...
i tested it with other data recovery software and this one got the most data recovered than any of the other tools i tried combined... |

Then use Easy recovery Pro...... what I was saying was if the pc just won't boot then just slave the drive to a good one and copy and paste it, if the data is corrupt then use Easy Recovery Pro.

Does anyone know how many file types Pc Inspector file Recovery and Restoration actually are capable of recovering? Are they as good as a program like Easy Recovery Pro or Recover My Files? As far as how many file types they will recover. |

Here is professional (but free) software MHDD: »mhddsoftware.com/. As so as you have non booting drive, probably, it is the strongest software for this task today, because it does not use BIOS. Here is a related Forum: »mhddsoftware.com/forum/.
To be careful at recovery data with that tool!

| I've looked at that site, and I'm not sure how that would help with most data recovery tasks. At least, not for any average user.
Maybe SpinRite would be between recovery and that tool, but again, unless it's hardware failures, not likely to help. |
