| GET 4060 TO WORK ON XP NOW!!! READ THIS!!!
Speed Stream DSL-=-4060USB FOR Windows eXPerience
1.Download Version 3.3 (not beta)

2.Unplug the modem
3.If the Setup ask u what's your modem, choose the one u use.
4.When u see the Setup stops...Connect the Modem.
5.Go to Device Manager
6.Look for the Icon that represents the modem (ex.Unknown or
something else i can't remember)
7.Double Click in it and put Reinstall Driver or Update Driver.
8.Now the Setup will find the 4060 drivers Automatic or Manually
(if u want to choose the directory by yourself, is recommended)
9.It will find like the base of the driver when it finish.
-=-=-DO NOT CLOSE DEICE MANAGER YET-=-=--
10.Double Click in Speed Stream Icon, then do step 8 again.
11.When u see a Windows telling u to install Speed Stream put
Continue, but if u see another like 3060 or other drivers, put Stop
Installation.
11.When it Finish, Close Everything (Not the Setup)
12.Now Setup will say Congratulations.....bla bla bla, close it now.

---Now the connection----
1.Wait (may be two minutes)-Recommended or reinstall the computer
2.When u see the AutoConfig Window, Click Next, and Next again
without finishing, because if you wait, you will get an error.
3.AutoConfig will find the way to connect u to the internet and when
it finishes it will leave a Icon in the desktop.
4. Click it and put your User/Pass and Connect.
NOTE: If Autoconfig doesn't find any way to connect u to the
internet, disconnect the phone line from the modem, wait until u see is
disconnected, then put it again, and try. That's it. Whish u can
successfully install this Modem.  |

just wanna update that the new 3.4.1 works just fine. Installation was straight forward and similar to W2k |

i tried this and it didnt work in the middle of the setup an error occurs and it aborts, anyone else ahve any tips please help anything would be greatly appreciated |
