| looking for manual for Tranzeo 5800
 third one going up |
We just received and installed ten 5800's. Installation was simple and straightforward. Throughput:24megs at 6kms with 24 db grid using horizontal polarization (at the suggestion of Tranzeo)
The only manual supplied is the quick set up guide. Anyone have the complete manuals that they can email me (pdf).
thanks Paul |

| reply to snowpro2000 Thanks for the info VariableArk. Only the quick start guide is listed for the 5800. Sales told me they used to have a complete installation manual. I wrote to them again yesterday to ask them to please dig one up.
They have decided to continue producing the 5800 because of popular demand.
thanks Paul |

| According to the folks at Tranzeo, they will continue the 5800 until the end of the summer.

The test may not be very accurate though. Downloading a 200MEG file from one end to the other with a TCP connection I believe. |

We see a consistant 20Mb at all times. So far, so good? -- »www.wavecrazy.net Join WISPA today! »www.wispa.org/ |

| Hi VariableARK:
they told us that they managed to get another 1000 boards.
They received many complaints from customers who enjoyed the reliability of the 5800. Many did not want to switch to their new models.
I wonder how long they will last...
I have not managed to get a manual however. I have a few questions. The signal strength shows local and remote. If it is lower at remote, do you fine tune the antenna at the remote location only?

| reply to snowpro2000 Interestingly, I tested the new TR-5a series today with Mikrotik and FTP. Mikrotik showed a consistent 15Mbps transfer but an FTP download showed about 25Mbps. Any idea why there would be a discrepancy like that?
The Mikrotik speed test did show about 1Mbps faster than the TR-5000 showed. |
