Di-604 PIng Help

Well I downloaded that new firmware and when it was going to finish it says page cannot setup and then my Di-604 said narrow connectivety And I did what it say on resetting well the resetting did let me go on the net but It won't let me ping my ip address or my ROuter's Ip Address?? Please I need help I try to play games or go to ftp sites and it says page cannot download I have A DI-604 Rev E
