Re: reset all windows policies to default

lol. nope. but close. CSNW is Client Services for Netware. simply do a google search on it and you will see what im talking about.

btw, i figured out the security policies question. the sample command here: »support.microsoft.com/?kbid=313222 does the job nicely.

i got a dyndns address set up for her machine and remote desktop is set up with my own "assistance" user. right now ive got microsoft antispyware and AVG free installed and both are running full scans. after they are done i will finish windows updates as needed and get firefox installed and configured. should be enough to get started on the right track.

They're a 1960s-vintage West Coast foursome who recorded a few songs that pretty much define the whole Woodstock-era vibe. Oh, wait, no, that was CSNY. Sorry.

as the title suggests. how can i reset all the administrative policies in windows back to their default? or in the very least, can someone provide me with a list of what each setting is by default?

reason i ask is because i have been fighting with a friends computer all night trying to help her get it back to a semi-usable condition. it doesnt help that she lives in florida and i have to remote desktop in, but i couldnt even do that because the last person who worked on her computer ended up fudging up all the security policies to the point that i couldnt get into remote desktop on any account as well as other fudged up settings.

needles to say its a complete mess. and i cant reformat it (which was my first option) due to the distance. just need to know how to default the policies for now. i will most likely be back with more problems.
