| Anyone ever try 802.11 to another phone adapter?
I have just signed up (not even connected yet) to Vonage. I have three different phone numbers, but only two phone outlets on my existing Linksys WRTP54G. I am wondering if anyone has utilized the wireless portion of that router to connect via a USB wireless adapter to another device and connect another telephone device to allow more than two phone lines via a single broadband connection. Anyone? |

I've used a wireless connection from a router to a bridge and connected a SIP device to the bridge without any problems. However, you mention using a USB device which are dependent on a computers CPU. That might be an issue. If you are planning a permanent wireless connection to a SIP device, I'd suggest you consider using a wireless G bridge, although a wireless B bridge will work fine if your wireless network has few clients. More than 2-3 clients means using G. 1-2 wireless clients usually will work fine with wireless B. |
