Re: Anyone got "The Letter" or call since the upgrade? I've used Comcast (@Home,etc..) for years now. I currently have 5 computers setup and someone is on most at any given time. From what I have read in the years here is many are using high amounts of bandwith. When using that amount of bandwith it puts a flag on IP addresses doing so.
I know some have certain reasons for using 200+ Gigs, but in utmost honesty the majority that probably got cutoff did constant P2P and had servers running. Yes, some need VPN and such for running home business and connected to work. That is what the higher tier of service is there for, and from what I am hearing others in time should be available.
Yes, I can agree and I dont understand why Comcast would not state a specific amount of usage. But, watching many with the problems continually place negatives about a company. What would you do as that company in the same regards?
Any connection is going to have negatives : DSL, Cable, Fios, etc... -- I'm just a youngster so what would I know! - Thirty two years of self taught wisdom - LMAOROFL! -=)--=Pure OUT!=--(=- |

Most likely because by stating a specific quantity, say 'X', people would just download 'X-1' of that quantity. Why that would be a "bad" thing is the mystery. I should think that it would be a "good" thing for people to adjust their downloads to 'X-1'. -- Norman ~A deam, dream, no dream ~Voices of the night go across the forest ~A dream, dream, no dream ~Good night my good child |

People aren't aware how few people were ever getting them in the first place. Everything got blown out of proportion
And I can say with utmost honesty that some of the posters who were crying "I got a letter and I only downloaded 80gig!" were blatantly lying -- Forum Posts:6500 |
