Folks it's time to GET A GRIP ON REALITY !!! No one is going to allow Pirates to steal and not go to prison. Facilitating the theft and distribution of stolen goods is also a crime and all P2P facilitators should do long prison sentences and lose all personal and Biz assets derived from their criminal activity. You might as well accept the reality or book your room now at the Iron Bar Hotel. |

Even if we assume that file-sharing presumptively copyrighted works is an infringement of that copyright, it is still not theft. No property is being stolen, and the claims of damage are at best suspect because they necessarily assume that every allegedly pirated copy of a work represents a lost sale, an argument that is specious and irrational and wholly unreflective of the impact of price on commercial activity.
Piracy is a wonderfully evocative term that conjures up the worst images of barbaric criminal activity. That image, however, is far removed from the reality of civil litigation (and copyright infringements result in CIVIL not criminal penalties). -- Cordially,

| I hope you realize you're responding to BBR's resident troll, taylor01.comcast.mi, who posts nonsense such as this whenever there's a discussion on the front page news relating to filesharing. He almost never has anything worthwhile to contribute to the discussion and only posts to troll the topic at hand.
Just ignore his pointless rantings and move on. -- "Kayura or Badamon, whichever you are, you should know that I will never give up this battle. By the will of the Ancient, I shall succeed!" - Shuten (Anubis) from the Ronin Warriors. To RIAA/MPAA - You can sue but you can't catch everyone! |
