nothing special here

not taking away from his previous work, but
since google's plugin is based on VLC, he just took the source code, removed "+ const char* allowed_host = \"video.google.com\";" line and recompiled.
any monkey with a compiler can do it.

Apparently the other monkeys never thought to try doing so.

Or they were to chickensh*t to put it out to the public. Either way you have to give this guy credit. His hacks work, they're almost always first, and he's not afraid of any repercussion.

I have a shaved head, a goatee, and tatoos. Don't you realize the rules don't apply to me.

well considering that plugin is released under GPL »code.google.com/patches.html
nobody should be "checkenshit" to modify it.
nor can there possibly be any repercussions to his modifications since they are perfectly valid and legal under GPL license.

can't say you are an idiot, but you do seem to be reading every other line;):p
in my last reply i posted url
»code.google.com/patches.html
i'm no programmer, but looking at the posted diff file, it seems like majority of changes were to remove all mime support but "application/x-google-vlc-plugin" and relabel it from "VideoLAN VLC Plugin" to "Google VideoLAN VLC Plugin"
