How can I force the xp drivers for this intel wireless. I uninstalled the intel drivers, but when the loptop restart install the same intel drivers again. Can you help? thanks |

| hey manadigi, so if you're trying to update the driver to a newer version, just go to start->control panel->system->hardware->device manager->right-click on your wireless card under network adapters and choose properties. then go to the drivers tab and hit update driver and choose install from a list or specific location. then hit the browse button and find wherever you put the new driver you downloaded. If you're like me and want to install an older driver version, you need to choose "don't search. i will choose the driver t o install. then hit "have disk" and choose the location of the driver you downloaded... If you're just trying to roll back the driver to the previous one that was installed (which may not be the stock winxp driver, it might just be an older version than what you have), then under the 'driver' tab previously mentioned, choose roll back driver. good luck |

| thanks jblack5, I did the update driver from the Device Manager(update) and works fine, now I have only 1 icon in my desktop right side bottom, when I installed direct from the file that I downloaded it's create a second icon like a green parking meter symbol and was kinda confusing because I had 2 icon for the same application. If I want to roll/back I can't because there is a window that said there is not earlier version and doesn't give me any other choice. Now the speed is more stable than before thanks for the help. |
