| Richard Stallman was in town
I just came back from a mini-conference in Montreal. T'was called Copyright 2005 (»copyright2005.koumbit.org/index.en) and, you might have guessed already, the focus was on copyrights and especially on the bill C-60 that is being proposed here in Canada.
Well, anyway, Stallman was there, he gave a pretty long 1 hour and a half speak in FRENCH. I was really surprised to hear Stallman speak in French, and he was pretty good too, a bit rusty though I guess.
Anyway, I believe it was a fairly typical Stallman appearance, he talked of how he classifies work of art in 3 categories, and how each might apply to copyright laws. And a lot of other things, it was fairly interesting.
After that there was a panel and he and the guy from Creative Commons License got into a fight, that was pretty funny. It really sounded like the kind a flame war you hear on forums, I guess that's how those guy train themselves so... 
Anyway, that's pretty much it, I don't have much to add. Oh, Stallman mentionned he speaks Spanish too, and better than French he seemed to imply.
