| DI-524 wireless router problem with bell sympatico
I'm new at networking but I am very familiar with computers. I'm trying to set up this router but to no avail.
Can anyone give me some instructions? it would be greatly appreciated.
Here's what i have so far.
PPPoE service.
Dynamic IP (as far as i can remember). Although someone please correct me if i'm wrong here. The server ip stays the same but the client changes, i'm assuming that is dynamic.
I enter in my user id and password, and any other info that i need, but i keep getting the following error:
PPPoE: Receive PADT TAG Disconnect PPPoE line
Can someone please let me know how they have set up their D-link router to work with Bell Sympatico?

sounds like your doing it right
i'm using a DI-514 and if I input wrong userid and pw I get this in the log
pppoe_PacketResolve:PPPOE_CODE_PADT!
kinda similar, so maybe try with test account

Used d link here a couple times,works okay. follow what party said about no isp name in. |
