I hope it is true. But it will have little impact on browsing speeds. May allow large downloads of MS software fixes to run a little quicker.

What is needed is faster upload speeds, not faster download speeds.

I've Got A Better Idea!

Why not leave me at 3000/384 and drop the monthly price to $29.95 (or give me 1500/256 for $14.95) and also remove the CATV "Blackmail Fee"?

Re: Cool!

Same here.

I just hope they increase the upload on the higher tier to at least 1Mbps. I mean come on when hosting competition comes I can't match FIOS or even come close to 2Mbps.

I think a small boost on the upload would be great especially when hosting 16 man room sometimes it can lag a little with 768Kbps upload.

8Mbps/1Mbps would rock.

Sucks that the upload speed is going stay the same

The current I have the Comcast 4.4Mbps/384Kbps and I'm reading there only going to upgrade the download speed by 2Mbps and keep the upload speed at 384Kbps. I mean if Comcast is doing speed upgrades you would at lest think they would make the upload speed faster than it is now and not leave it at the same speed it is now . I'm not at all happy about the uploads speed at all Sometime I like to email myself larges amounts of data when I have no CD-R disc's to use and at 384Kbps I have to wait a while. Why Comcast is keeping the upload speed the same I'll never know.

Who Here is suffering from Latency problems?

Ever since they raised it to 4megs i've been averaging 400ms ping times every night. In the daytime it works fine. At night when everyone is on, it sucks.

Now they are raising it to 6? WOW
